A shared love of honest materials and contemporary design formed the basis of this collaboration between Seppe van Heusden and Serax. Seam is a versatile collection of lamps made from porcelain and metal. The idea was to develop a cohesive lighting line with designs that highlight the unique qualities of the materials used. The name refers to the distinct seam on the top of the lamp, created by the traditional porcelain casting process. Instead of hiding or concealing these seams, van Heusden chose to highlight them as a defining feature of the design. The undulating shapes of the porcelain create an elegant impression. The matt-black steel base was kept deliberately minimal and sleek to contrast with the translucency and lightness of the porcelain shade. Thanks to the neutral colours and the austere shapes, Seam complements all interiors and atmospheres. The Seam collection includes a floor lamp, a table lamp, a wall lamp in two sizes, and a pendant lamp in three sizes. The lamps can be combined or added to an interior as a standalone design element. The cable can be shortened or lengthened to adjust the height of the lampshade.
